I had been using 3 6-inch square blocks of 1 1/2-inch thick board, giving me about 4 1/2 " rise. Installed these and they work perfect. Very sturdy, has a small "well" to keep the bed frame wheels locked in place. I am very pleased and plan to take two of them with me to France for an extended trip to use with the hotel bed. Delivery time was very short also. Update: June 2010 After using these risers for about a year and taking them on several trips, I can whole-heartedly endorce my 5 star rating. They work great; they are relatively light while providing great support. At 250 pounds, I am heavier than many, but the risers have not broken down at all. I stuff socks or something else inside one of them when I pack two of them. They have been to France, Mexico, Guadeloupe, a couple of National Parks, and under three different beds in my home. The "indent" in the top keeps bed legs that have wheels on them from moving around. Great product. The cup size in the top is tapered down to about 2 3/4 or just a shade under. Sturdy black plastic with the cup in the top to keep things centered. Cons: I had 3-inch round plastic support feet for my queen frame and had to shave off some girth to make them square and allow them to rest fully into the base of the cup. The overall height of the riser is 6 inches, but it actually only raises the bed frame by 5 inches, because the cup itself is 1 inch deep. Even though I was wanting the 6 inches in height, the 5 is exactly what I needed. I also wish they came is something other than 4-packs. I had to buy three boxes because I needed 10 total. Now I have 2 left over, but oh well.... Four Great Binding Tables and Workstations

If you've already purchased your binding machine or laminator, you've probably opened the box and faced a daunting question: Where to put your new machine? Making room for your new device on an existing surface might be difficult or even impossible depending on how crowded your office is and the size of the machine. In that case, you'll need to order a new table or workstation for your new machine. Here are four you should consider....

1. The Binding System Workstation. This product is a good choice if you need a roomy surface on which to place your binding machine. It has a strong metal frame to withstand heavy use and there are two locking casters so you can move the table to anywhere you need it. This table has six drawers in which you can store your supplies as well as clear plastic compartments that are great for keeping smaller items handy. The surface has a white epoxy finish and the device as a whole has the following dimensions: 36" (height) x 18" (depth) x 30" (width).

2. The Heavy-Duty Binding Utility Station. This station is heavy-duty and will provide you with years of use. It has a large 36-inch wide work surface and a lot of shelves for storage of all of your supplies. In fact, there are three shelves under the table and two above, so you'll have a ton of room for your supplies. The legs all have casters at the ends of them and the legs are metal so they'll easily support the weight of your binding system. You can also use this product with laminators, guillotine and rotary trimmers, and so on. Plus, you'll be able to assemble it easily without tools.

3. The Laminating Workstation. If you own a roll laminator such as the GBC HeatSeal Ultima 65 or the Tamerica TC2700 27" Roll Laminator, this is the workstation you need. It has metal racks that can store laminating film that's up to 27" long and it's perfect for machines that use that size of film. The work table has a strong finish and your finished documents will be stored under the table until you remove them. This device has locking casters for easy transport and it can even be used to store a binding machine and supplies if you prefer. Its dimensions are 42" (height) x 26" (depth) x 29-1/2" (width).

4. Rhin-O-Tuff RTT42 Adjustable-Height Ergonomic Binding Table. This table is adjustable so you can work at a height that's comfortable for you and reduce the risk of work-related injuries. The height can range from 25" to 44", allowing you to punch and bind while either sitting or standing. There's an optional side table you can use if you need a larger work area. The table is large enough to house any Rhin-O-Tuff punch or binding machine, and you can use devices from different manufacturers as long as they're under 200 pounds.
